Birthday picnic

 

 





















This was my last birthday. A pre-planned picnic, which turned out to a Monkey-picnic instead. Surrounded by monkeys all the time, and the fact that I wore yellow, screams*
I guess this would be our last time at McRitchie, and with the guys (because they swore they're not going to have picnic with us everrrr again)

But despite all the monkey experience, the company make it up with all the well-prepared food (they did all the preparation) and the nicely decorated pavillion. I'm so blessed to have all of you by my side.

Vintage Tea Party

I always dread going to Dempsey due to the inaccessible location, but it was House @ Dempsey's Vintage Tea Party that convinced us for a visit.

Ambience was nothing short of amazing, the fabulous setup really blew me away. From the elegant vintage furniture, dainty rustic decorations to even the choice of plates. The food selections however wasn't exactly extensive and delicious. The pizzas were probably the better tasting items on the buffet line.

All in all, it was still a perfect lazy afternoon spent nibbling on pretty cakes, pastries, pizzas etc, definitely the perfect garden afternoon tea venue. Do make reservations early to avoid disappointment, we tried booking 1 week in advance but it was already full.

Park @ Holland Village

This was few weeks ago with D, late lunch at Park @ Holland Village, newly opened a couple of months back. They had very little indoor seatings, so we settled for outdoor but pretty cooling even in the warm weather. I really enjoyed the Aglio olio and especially the truffle fries, their presentation, taste and the smell of the truffle oil, too enticing.

Anyway, one more day to one year older. Totally not looking forward to it, but Happy advance birthday to myself.
